Postiz is genuinely good software. It is open source, self-hostable, supports more social networks than we do, and its scheduling UX is mature. If what you need is a calendar that posts to a lot of places, it is an excellent and inexpensive answer, and you should use it. The difference is what sits upstream. A scheduler assumes the posts already exist. Somebody researched the angle, wrote the copy, made the image, and decided the timing. That somebody is usually a marketer you are paying, or you at 11pm. FlowState OS is built to be that somebody, and then to publish, and then to tell you what happened. Postiz replaces your posting tool. We are trying to replace the hire.
Yes. It is well built, widely used, and open source under AGPL-3.0. We are not going to pretend otherwise. If scheduling is the whole job, it is a better fit than we are and it costs less.
You could, and some people should. Keep Postiz as the publishing surface and use FlowState for the production and outreach upstream of it. The overlap is only in the publishing step.
Because it is not the same purchase. Postiz is priced against other schedulers. FlowState is priced against a salary. The honest comparison is not our price against theirs. It is our price against theirs plus whoever is producing the content.
No. They support more. We cover the major networks properly rather than covering everything shallowly, and we would rather say that plainly than lose your trust in month two.
No. Postiz wins on that outright. If self-hosting or auditing the source matters to you, that is a real reason to choose them.
Theirs is live today across more platforms than ours, and if you want an agent that posts for you, use it. Ours is not public yet, and when it is, the thing your agent connects to is different: not one key on one account, but a workspace with brand memory your agents read before they act, separate identities for your team and your clients, and a human approval gate on anything irreversible. That is a harder thing to build and a slower thing to ship, which is why they are first.
Choose Postiz if you have the content and need it published across many networks cheaply, if self-hosting matters, or if you want an agent posting for you today. Choose FlowState OS if the content is the thing you do not have, or if the work involves more than one person and more than one brand and you need them working from the same evidence with a human still holding the publish button. The question worth asking is not which tool schedules better. It is what you are going to put in the calendar next week, and who is going to make it.
